Oliver turned 14 months old today so I thought it was time for another update on him 🙂
He can now stand for around 20-30 seconds unaided and has started to take 1-2 steps forward (very wobbly steps I might add) which is so cute. When we clap and get all excited he loves it!
We are still giving him formula for his milk but I am introducing other diary products into his diet such as yoghurts and cheese and cheese spreads which he seems to be tolerating well so I am confident we will be able to move him onto cows milk in the next few months. I will keep you updated with how that goes though…
As I have mentioned before he is basically eating everything we do. For dinner he tends to have a sandwich with so fruit and yoghurt and for tea he will have what the rest of the family is having which can be anything from spaghetti bolognaise to chicken korma with naan bread. I have also now found a cup he will drink from so he in enjoying juice and water as well as his milk. He does still have his milk in his bottle but I am not too bothered with this as he associates his bottles with bed time or nap time now.
Oliver is only having 1 nap a day now usually which will last around 2 hours. I usually but him down in the morning between 10 – 11 depending on if I have any jobs to do straight after school run.
Olivers favourite toys are his walker and him tub of stacking wooden blocks that he likes us to make towers with so he can knock them down! I have done a whole post on some of his current favourite toys.
He attends nursery 3 days a week while I am at work and he loves it. When we pull up outside he starts smiling and waving and gets even more excited once we get inside and I have no problem handing him over to the ladies there 🙂
We are currently putting him in 12-18 / 18-24 months clothing but he does still fit in some of his 9-12 month clothes as well.
For the last few days Oliver has been on antibiotics for an ear infection and chest infection but he seems to be getting over this now. At the same time he seems to be getting around 4-6 teeth coming through which must me so sore for him 🙁 some of these are big back teeth.
I think that is everything I have to update you on this month. He is doing brilliantly and is a very happy little chap!
Thank you for reading 🙂
